Leslie Brewer / Founder & creator
Lived experience.
Thoughtful systems.
A practical mind.
A deeply human reason for the work.
Founder, author, educator and creator of the Rooted Empowerment Method.

Understanding people.
Building what helps.
Leslie’s background brings together a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, experience as a firefighter, hypnotherapy training through HMI, authorship and the creation of practical personal-development tools.
Those experiences have shaped a consistent question: what would make this useful for the person in front of me?
Professional study gives the work structure. Observation and lived experience keep that structure connected to the realities of an individual life.
Understanding is a beginning.
The next question is how to make it useful.

A problem-solving perspective
Practical is personal.
Firefighting asks for clear observation, grounded judgment and an appropriate next action. Criminal-justice study brings attention to behavior, context and systems. Leslie carries that practical orientation into the way she develops tools and frameworks.
Outside her professional work, raising five children and building systems for off-grid living have offered their own lessons in adaptability, patience and making an idea work in practice.
Rooted Empowerment reflects that same instinct: insight matters, and so does a pathway that can fit an ordinary week.

Why Rooted Empowerment exists
More agency.
Less dependence.
Leslie’s own life has included adversity, rebuilding and significant transitions. That experience informs her respect for individual resilience, without making hardship the center of another person’s story.
She created Rooted Empowerment to bring understanding, reflection and practical tools into one individualized framework—and to help people recognize their own capacity to choose.
The broader work includes workbook materials, audio and educational resources, and the nonprofit mission of Rebel Roots. The method is intended to offer useful ways forward at different levels of readiness.
Education, authorship & professional development
A method built through
study and practice.
Leslie holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and has pursued hypnotherapy education through the Hypnosis Motivation Institute. Her work as an author and creator brings the method into workbook, audio and educational formats.
Professional learning, responsible scope and individual autonomy are part of the approach. A person’s needs should determine the pathway—and when another professional’s expertise may be more appropriate.

Speaking, media & collaboration
Leslie’s educational work explores empowerment, intentional life transitions, practical systems and accessible personal development.

Making room for a real life.
Raising five children, working in demanding settings and building systems for off-grid living have given Leslie more than abstract examples of responsibility and adaptation. Those experiences inform her interest in tools that remain useful when a week becomes complicated.
In private work, your capability is part of the starting point. So are the preferences, responsibilities and practical limits that make your situation your own. The intention is to develop a pathway you can use, with room to ask questions and reconsider what fits.
